Welcome to the new South Central Region.
The new configuration for IHM England Division divides the former South East Region into two, partially removing the geographical barrier that existed in a Region that had linked Ramsgate and the Isle of Wight with Banbury and Hungerford and had London (another Region) as its central point!
South Central will be virtually starting from scratch to create an active representation for the membership across Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Currently the main activities are through the IHM-led Department of Health initiative on developing Management Networks. There are existing groups for all four counties meeting on a regular basis, facilitated by IHM members.
Providing there are volunteers to establish a new Regional Council and sufficient support from members in attending events, we will hopefully have a programme running from the autumn. If anyone is interested in helping with Regional Council, please contact me.
