IHM NORTH WEST REGION ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2008

IHM North West are delighted to announce our special guest speakers at our Annual Conference on Thursday 26 and Friday 27 June 2008 at The Castle Green Hotel, Kendal, Cumbria. The theme of the conference is "The NHS at 60 - where now for healthcare?" The conference will wish the NHS a "Happy 60th Birthday" by considering the challenges facing healthcare organisations and managers.
The conference gives delegates the opportunity to network with friends and colleagues, old and new, as well as to hear from our special guest speakers including:
- Mark Britnell - Director General of Commissioning and System Management, Department of Health on the challenges facing commissioning
- Richard Wiseman - professor in the public understanding of psychology and author of the best selling book, The Luck Factor, on the lives and minds of lucky people (www.richardwiseman.com)
- Noel Plumridge - HSJ Columnist and former NHS Trust Director of Finance on the challenges facing healthcare funding
- Ken Jarrold - HSJ Columnist and former SHA Chief Executive on creating a healthcare birthday to remember
- David Fillingham - Chief Executive, Bolton Hospitals NHS Trust on the challenge of modernisation, productivity and "Lean" thinking
- Sue Hodgetts - IHM Chief Executive on the IHM's view of the challenges facing healthcare managers
Residential rates for full IHM members are just £300.00 (reduced fees for retired members and student members), and the non-members rate of £450.00 includes 1 year's membership to IHM. The residential rate also includes our conference drinks reception and dinner on Thursday evening.
