The Clinical Audit and Improvement conference provides an important update on national developments in clinical audit including a keynote address from Professor Nick Black, Chairman of the National Clinical Audit Advisory Group, on the development of a National Clinical Audit Forum.
The conference also provides practical guidance on reinvigorating clinical audit locally including setting up a successful clinical audit and improvement project, the role of clinical audit in measuring and monitoring clinical outcomes, using clinical audit to reduce avoidable hospital mortaility, involving patients, engaging front line staff and using lean and six sigma in partnership with clinical audit to meausre quality and improve outcomes.
