An IHM Recognised Event

SIXTH NATIONAL CONFERENCE

This one day conference provides a practical guide to moving forward with the Mental Capacity Act, and it's link to the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) which came into force April this year. The conference will discuss how the Mental Capacity Act and DoLS provide a much clearer legal framework for people who lack capacity and those caring for them, by setting out key principles, procedures and safeguards.

The conference closes with a focus on advance decisions and Lasting Power of Attorney, including how to best support patients in making advance decisions, third party involvement and addressing advance decisions issues in practice.
