Introduction
All around us, MHSC programmes are helping people become more effective, increasing the positive impact they have on their service. In this way, MHSC management development programmes can make a positive contribution to improving services in Health & Social Care.
MHSC integrates and builds upon the previously successful Managing Health Services and Health and Social Services Management programmes launched in the early 1990s.
MHSC is a modular programme of management development. Individual modules can be delivered for study. Most centres delivering MHSC have packaged individual modules into a number of different programmes to suit a range of learning and development needs and academic experience. These programmes lead to a range of different types of vocational and/or academic awards depending on the type of assessment work completed.
The work based assignments on each programme are set at a particular academic or vocational level appropriate to the programme.
In addition to these programmes, the IHM runs a number of complimentary programmes, designed, in some instances to be the first step on the ladder, and in others to build on your existing skills.
