The MHSC Milestones have been developed as bite sized and flexible learning resources for managers and those requiring management knowledge and skills in the day to day work they undertake.
They have been designed around key areas of management learning which are self contained but which link to other related subject matter within a modular structure.
Unlike award bearing programmes of learning for managers, if you are studying milestones you can select the most appropriate milestone for your specific personal or organisational need at that particular point in time.
They can be studied at home or at work and have been specifically designed to provide an appropriate blend of study, theory, application and reflection as well as to be as accessible as possible to the individual manager or to the organisation which wishes to purchase learning for groups of managers.
Milestones mix written materials with web resources and tutor markers who offer email assessment services.
Milestones available now are:
Role of the enterprise manager
Making information work for you
Organisational structure and the flow of information
Budgetary Management
Costing Management
Emergency preparedness and business continuity planning

You are invited to browse these pages and look at the Milestones summaries to see what is available to meet your needs.
If you see something that interests you or that may satisfy your learning need click on the relevant milestone document to find out more about it’s contents, credit level, links to National Occupational Standards, Key Skills Framework, Leadership Qualities Framework and its form of assessment.
If you wish to proceed, it is important that you consider the basic criteria for this type and level of study using our list of questions which have been designed to help you make up your mind if you are ready for study.
