Terms of Reference
  • To provide a framework for general management and leadership development for managers working in health and care environments from an Estates and Facilities professional background
  • To develop career pathways for the efm managers to director level with particular emphasise on developing the strategic general management skills of efm professionals.
  • To work with partners to raise the profile of efm services with other professions
  • To develop with partners from service, academia and the independent sectors career development opportunities for efm managers with particular emphasis on the development of strategic general management skills.
  • To ensure that any learning material used by the IHM meets the needs of the efm manager
  • To advise the IHM on the need for new learning material to meet the needs of the efm manager and to secure expert involvement from the profession to advise on material development.
  • To raise the profile of the IHM and its contribution to the career development of the efm manager.
  • To future proof the service, ensuring that the advice anticipates changing service and learning priorities and that development response and delivery timescales address service needs.
  • To work with other organisations to ensure resources and activities are shared to prevent duplication and signpost relevant learning materials.
  • To advise on the commissioning of research, reviews of provision and learning needs.
